B BillClear Privacy
Privacy policy

BillClear is built to start with redacted text.

Last updated: June 2, 2026. BillClear is an educational paperwork tool. It is not medical advice, legal advice, insurance advice, or a substitute for a certified billing advocate, attorney, insurer, provider, or patient advocate.

What you should not paste

Before using BillClear, remove names, dates of birth, member IDs, claim numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and any other details that directly identify a patient or policy.

What the app stores

The launch version stores saved cases in your browser using local storage. That data stays on the device and browser profile you used unless you clear it, reset the app, or export it yourself.

What is uploaded

The launch version does not upload pasted document text to BillClear servers for analysis. The app runs its document checks in your browser.

Email and beta review

If you email BillClear for a beta packet review, that email is outside the local-only app flow. Do not send unredacted protected health, insurance, financial, or identifying information by email.

Third-party platforms

BillClear is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and may be distributed as a Progressive Web App through app stores. Those platforms may process technical data such as IP address, browser, device, and request metadata according to their own policies.
